Winter fishing in cold climates requires skill and training. If you are already equipped with a rod, drill, and transport, the next step is to acquire the necessary bait. Visit our Shop to purchase bloodworms, gammarus, whitebait, and maggots.

If you've already earned some money by catching perch and ruffe at the city lake, consider exploring another lake. Make sure to obtain a fishing license and set aside funds for your outing.

Upon arriving at the lake, selecting the right location is crucial. Use the navigation on your screen to rotate the view and click to move forward. Pay close attention while moving to avoid stepping on holes or fragile ice. Remember that falling through the ice can be hazardous.

Once you have found a suitable spot, it's time to drill a hole. Prepare your hook with bait and cast your gear into the water, releasing the line. Keep in mind that different species of fish reside at different depths, so choose your depth accordingly. Additionally, select bait that caters to each particular species' preferences: bloodworm and maggots for ruffe; bloodworm for Rudd and Crucian Carp; gammarus for perch; small fry for large perch, pike, and walleye.

To entice the fish, manipulate your rod by tilting or moving your phone as if it were an actual rod. Alternatively, swipe your finger across the screen. As soon as you notice movement on the bobber, swiftly set the hook with an upward snap. The speed and precision with which you pull up the rod will determine whether you successfully catch the fish or miss it. Subsequently, reel in the fish quickly to prevent it from escaping.

If you execute these actions promptly and accurately, the fish won't stand a chance! Replenish your bait and continue fishing. Keep in mind that each species of fish has its own unique biting pattern. Some fish may raise the bobber, while others might bite very gently or abruptly. Be vigilant and observe the bobber closely to anticipate what fish may have taken interest this time. Once you gain confidence, you can disable tooltips in the "Options" menu.
